Wesley is now 2712.5, #33 in the world. I am trying to get him invitations to serious invitationals. But in the mean time, he will have a number of serious events coming up. He cannot sit and wait for invitations to come.
To play in an event like Calgary is risky IMO. It is hard to gain points but easy to lose. Just look at how other GMs struggled against the same players Wesley defeated. But he passed another test.
A little more training when he is back to St. Louis, then off he goes again.
