Fantastic win by Karjakin in such a heavy field. Winning his first four (!!!) matches allowed him to step off the gas pedal a bit in the final stretch, even with a couple of losses at the end.
Carlsen had a chance to overtake Karjakin but an uncharacteristic loss (R+P endgame) against Wang Hao in Round 8 virtually ended his chances to win home turf super event.
If anyone wants to go over some good attacking chess, check out Vishy Anand's wins in this tournament. Very instructive, especially against Topalov and Hammer. Relentless and uncompromising pursuit.
